How OREO and PFLAG are celebrating Proud Parents of LGBTQIA

Joining Marion Delguette and Olympia Portale from Oreo will be Liz Owen, Chief Storyteller and Jean-Marie Navetta from PFLAG, the United States’ first and largest organization uniting parents, families, and allies with people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer, to talk about their recent collaboration around the Proud Parent platform.


Marion Delgutte

Associate Director, OREO Equity, Mondelēz International

Marion Delgutte has nearly 15 years of experience in the US and Europe, leading some of the world’s most iconic food brands, such as Oreo and belVita Cookies, Milka and Cote d’Or Chocolate, and Tassimo Coffee. She is passionate about building effective teams that are fearless and fun. Marion is currently leading the Oreo Equity Team in the US, creating breakthrough advertising, and continuously delighting consumers and shaping culture with the biggest and most un-expected partnerships (from Lady Gaga to Supreme to Game of Thrones), and driving purpose-driven marketing, like Oreo and PFlag’s Proud Parent platform, showing support for LGBTQ+ families.

Olympia Portale

Senior Brand Manager, OREO Equity, Mondelēz International

Olympia Portale is a Senior Brand Manager for OREO at Mondelēz International with a decade of integrated marketing experience in the food & beverage industry working across roles in PR, media, experiential marketing, and FMCG brand management. 

She values curiosity, creativity and strives to be equal parts problem finder as well as problem solver. Olympia is passionate about tapping into culture to elevate brand storytelling and cultivate authentic relationships with consumers. She’ll be joining us to speak about Oreo and PFlag’s Proud Parent platform, showing support for LGBTQ+ families. 

She has a proven track record of translating data and insights into strong, consumer-first marketing strategies that drive business results. Olympia holds a BA from Northwestern University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.

Liz Owen

Director of Communications, PFLAG National

Liz Owen received her B.S. from Northwestern University. After serving as the Executive Director of FilmBureau, a nonprofit supporting the Chicago film community, she relocated to Los Angeles and joined the film publicity team at Paramount Pictures in 2003. Liz left Paramount in 2008 to work as an independent consultant, primarily with entertainment and nonprofit clients, eventually joining PLAG National as Director of Communications in 2011.

Jean-Marie Navetta

Director of Learning and Inclusion, PFLAG National

Jean-Marie Navetta is the Director of Learning & Inclusion for PFLAG National, leading its Straight for Equality project, working to achieve inclusion for people who are LGBTQ+. In this capacity, she has been the primary author of four publications on allyship and led the education of more than 20,000 people in workplaces worldwide.
